Killer casually walks down road covered in housemate’s blood after murdering him

Police have released chilling CCTV footage of a convicted murderer strolling down a residential street after killing his flatmate.

Javan Lee, 38, has been found guilty of murdering his housemate, 48-year-old Corey Graham, in October 2024, in their home on Sussex Road, Harrow.

Police were called on October 30 to reports of a man being stabbed twelve times in the front garden of the property.

The victim, Mr Graham, was taken to the hospital and died of his injuries the following day.

Officers ran into Lee at the scene, but he initially gave a fake name and denied any involvement in the stabbing.

After they ordered him to wait in his bedroom, he escaped through a window and went on the run for six hours.

Lee told officers he had no information about Mr Graham’s death after being captured, but officers arrested him on suspicion of attempted murder after finding out the pair were housemates.

CCTV captured Lee walking down residential streets wearing blood-soaked clothing and carrying the knife he used to attack Mr Graham.

He threw out the knife and returned home, where he washed his clothes before the police arrived on the scene.

Officers later found texts between Mr Graham and Lee showing they had been arguing.

Mr Graham had reported Lee for making a mess in the shared home just moments before he was stabbed, and Lee also called the police to complain about Mr Graham moments before killing him.

Detective Sergeant Matt Russell said: ‘Our thoughts today are with the family of Mr Graham, who lost a loved one in such brutal circumstances, following an apparently trivial dispute between the men.

‘During the investigation, officers recovered CCTV of Lee walking along nearby residential streets just after the murder, covered in blood and carrying a knife. This graphically demonstrates his brazenness.

‘Lee has shown cowardice and contempt towards his victim. Although he had taken steps to conceal his involvement, evidence obtained by investigators was used to establish his guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

‘I would like to thank the investigation team for their hard work bringing Lee to justice.’
