QT Homes to celebrate its own move with charity coffee morning

Usually focussed on helping others to find a new home, a Nuneaton-based sales and lettings agency has been on the move itself after expanding into bigger premises.

Sisters Melissa Maycock (33) and Mariam Fraser (36) have relocated their popular property business, QT Homes, to a larger office situated at Unit 4, The Courtyard, in Nuneaton.

The duo are now all set to welcome more customers through the door and to take on more staff next year.

To celebrate, Melissa and Mariam will be throwing a ‘housewarming’ party with a twist, combining their grand opening celebration with a Macmillan Coffee Morning.

Local businesses, residents, shoppers, family and friends are all invited to join the sisters for an abundance of cake, tea, coffee, soft drinks and a fundraising raffle, on Friday, September 28, between 9.30am and 12pm. Some fantastic raffle prizes are up for grabs, including a three-course meal for two and bottle of champagne courtesy of the Fuzzy Duck Pub & Kitchen in Nuneaton.

Now in its fourth year, QT Homes has gone from strength to strength since property enthusiasts Melissa and Mariam decided to turn a shared passion for property into a full-time occupation. The pair gave up their respective careers in creative industries to follow their dreams by going into business together in 2013 and haven’t looked back since.

The company was originally launched as a lettings agency, but last year, after successful growth for the previous three years, the sisters also branched out into sales.

This continued growth has led to the need for the larger offices, just across from the former premises at Unit 1 in The Courtyard.

Melissa said: “The rate of growth has been phenomenal and a lot of that is through word of mouth. We really needed somewhere bigger to be able to hold appointments and to accept walk-ins from passing customers. We’re looking to expand much more next year and take on additional staff, so the extra space was a must.

“We’re inviting people to come and celebrate with us and toast the new office on September 28. We want to celebrate the move with the local community, friends and family, while raising money for a cause that has helped so many people, including close friends of ours.”

The need for expansion and continued success of QT Homes is also a great sign for the local property market, say the sisters, who regularly comment on the industry via their Nuneaton Property Blog.

Mariam added: “Our blog has come to the attention of many investors, near and far, all of whom see great potential in Nuneaton’s future, and like us, see it as an ideal area for property investment opportunities. Our offer to sell properties for £1999, including solicitors’ fees, has proven to be very successful and we’re looking to further promote this offer in surrounding towns such as Hinckley, Bedworth, Atherstone and Tamworth.

“The new office provides the perfect base for this expansion and we’re looking forward to seeing what the next 12 months in our new home will bring. We also hope to welcome lots of people through the doors on September 28  to celebrate with us, eat cake and raise money for a really worthwhile cause.”
