Sofronio Vasquez, Michael Bublé reunite for ‘Maybe This Christmas’

Filipino singing champion Sofronio Vasquez reunites with his mentor Michael Bublé for their new holiday track, “Maybe This Christmas.”

The “Voice USA” winner announced that the two have joined forces for a festive single set to be released on Nov. 28.

The collaboration marks a full-circle moment for Vasquez, who went from a contestant to a record-making artist alongside Bublé.

In a Facebook post, he reflected on the milestone with gratitude.

“I wouldn’t have believed you if you told me five years ago that I would be doing a record with Michael Bublé in 2025 for Christmas,” Vasquez wrote. “He didn’t just give me a shot, he gave his time, his wisdom and his voice.”

But this release is only a preview of what’s ahead for the trailblazing Filipino singer. Vasquez previously shared that he is working on an extended play produced by Bublé, which includes collaborations with legendary artists Paul Anka and David Foster. The EP signals a significant chapter in his rapidly growing international career.

For Bublé, the partnership is a personal mission as well. The Grammy-winning crooner confirmed in August that he was committed to helping launch the Filipino singer’s global journey. Bublé describes it as his way of paying forward the mentorship and opportunities he once received.

Vasquez made global headlines last year when he became the first Asian to win “The Voice.” The victory immediately positioned him as one of the most promising Filipino vocal talents of his generation.
