How on Earth did this lorry get up there?
A motorway is blocked off after a HGV got stuck in a seemingly impossible position.
The carriage became wedged between the road and a gantry after a collision.
It’s unclear how the vehicle became lodged in such an awkward position but, remarkably, no one was seriously injured.
The bizarre incident happened on the A562 Speke Road near Widnes, in Cheshire, North West England.
Police say they were called to a collision but did not provide further details on how the truck came to be upended.
It is believed to have occurred at around 6.30am in the morning but motorists have been warned it’s going to take some sorting out.
Drivers in the area were told the road is expected to be closed for several hours while it is removed.
Work is also under way to make sure the gantry is structurally safe before anyone is allowed to drive underneath it.
Diversions are in place in the area, including the closure of the Mersey Gateway Bridge heading west and the Silver Jubilee Bridge heading north.
