Warring William and Harry ‘to reunite before Christmas for Diana award ceremony’

Prince William and Harry may be reunited again this winter at an award ceremony that honours their late mother.

The brothers haven’t been seen together in public since the Diana statue unveiling in Kensington in early July and are still said to be on frosty terms.

But it could be their mother’s memory that again forces them to put on a united front and patch up their differences.

The CEO of the charity the Diana Award has told the Daily Mail she hopes both princes will be at a prize giving ceremony in December.

Harry may even use the trip to bring Meghan and the children over to the UK so Lilibet can meet his family for the first time.

The couple have spent much of the week in New York on a rare joint outing that has been likened to a royal tour.

By Meghan hasn’t been to the UK since her and Harry’s bombshell interview with US chat show host Oprah Winfrey in which they claimed a senior royal made racist remarks about their son Archie.

That interview, along with other accusations made by the couple, has strained relations which were evident when Harry attended his grandad Prince Philip’s funeral, and the statue unveiling.

A joint appearance at the ceremony, which will take place at the Northamptonshire stately home where Diana grew up, may go some way to healing the rift.

Tessy Ojo, chief executive of the Diana Award, said it was a ‘privilege’ to run the only organisation that still has both brothers involved.

She added: ‘To us, it doesn’t matter where in the world they are. They are jointly committed to the awards. The Dukes will be heavily involved as it will be a whole week of events, so they are eager to take part.’

The ceremony will recognise work that has help to change the lives of young people for the better.

Harry and William have also been involved in agreeing a new five-year plan for the charity, Ms Ojo said.
