Police are urgently searching for a man following an attempted murder at Angel Central in Islington.

Shortly after 10.25pm on Tuesday, October 27, officers were called out to reports of a shooting in Parkfield Street, with crowds attending two separate concerts at the nearby O2 Academy Islington.

They found two men, aged 33 and 27, with gunshot wounds.

Both were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while a third man, aged 36, was located with stab wounds and treated for non-life-changing injuries.

The shopping center was sealed off for 12 hours as evidence was gathered, also blocking access from Liverpool Road and Upper Street.

Metropolitan Police detectives have now released the name of the suspect they need to trace.

Nacoli Bravo, 40, from the Lewisham area, is wanted in connection with the incident.

Leading the investigation, Detective Chief Inspector John Cowell said: ‘This is a fast-moving investigation, and our team have worked tirelessly to build a picture of the incident.

‘We are looking for the public’s help to locate Nacoli Bravo in connection with our ongoing enquiries.

‘If anyone has any information on his whereabouts, please contact police immediately.’

Police have warned the public not to approach Bravo if they see him but to instead dial 999.

Anyone with information about his movements or location is also asked to call 999 or report anonymously via the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111 – quoting 7386/27OCT.

The manhunt comes after Eugene Asiedu, 36, of Hatcham Park Road, in Lewisham, appeared in court earlier this week.

He has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a knife/bladed article in connection with the violent act.

Locals described their ‘shock’ over what happened, with Anthony, who has lived in the area for 15 years, telling MyLondon: ‘I can’t believe it. For it to happen in the shopping center is shocking.

‘I’m concerned about gun crime in London, but I know Islington. I didn’t think it would happen in this vicinity.’

A 70-year-old woman, who wished to remain nameless, added that the shopping center is ‘always so busy’, stunned at how such a thing could happen there.

‘London wasn’t like this when I came here as a child. Now, I come out to shop, and I come home because I’m scared.’
