AC Bonifacio joins ‘Kpop Demon Hunters’ stars in ‘Perfect Girl’

“Perfect Girl,” a psychological thriller set in the high-stakes world of K-pop that includes Filipina actress and dancer AC Bonifacio among its international cast, is creating major buzz.

The former “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab” housemate proudly shared her excitement by reposting Deadline’s announcement on X (formerly Twitter), quipping that it’s a “kpop thriller perfect for today.”

Bonifacio, who first gained global attention through her dance covers and appearances on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” continues to make waves as she breaks into international cinema.

What’s it about?

Directed by Hong Won-ki, one for stylish and visually gripping storytelling, “Perfect Girl” delves into the world of a rising K-pop girl group whose glittering dreams turn dark, when a mysterious trainee joins the lineup and group members begin to vanish one by one.

According to the official synopsis, “With only four spots available in the band and the final cut a week away, the competition is off the charts. When a talented and mysterious new girl is introduced at the last minute, things start to get strange — girls are being hunted and attacked one by one, but who is responsible for the carnage, and more importantly… who will make the final cut?”

Cast

Joining Bonifacio in the cast are Arden Cho and May Hong of “KPop Demon Hunters,” Nancy of Momoland and Thai singer Ally.

The film also has six original songs produced by The Black Label, the powerhouse behind artists like Jeon Somi and part of YG Entertainment’s family.

The same label previously co-produced the soundtrack for KPop Demon Hunters, further cementing the film’s musical authenticity.
