A US Army veteran who is the suspect in a mass shooting that left four dead at a Montana bar has been arrested.

Michael Brown, 45, was taken into custody alive on Friday afternoon, said Lewis and Clark County Sheriff Leo Dutton.

Brown is accused of opening fire at the Owl Bar in Anaconda on August 1 and killing a bartender and three patrons.
