At least one dead after plane crash at regional airport

At least one person has been confirmed dead after a plane crashed at a regional airport in the US.

The crash happened at Marana Regional Airport in Arizona, and police and other emergency services are at the scene.

Marana Police Department said in a statement that the National Aviation Authority and National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the crash.

The cause of the crash is still unknown, and the number of passengers and crew on board the flight is yet to be confirmed.

Local police confirmed in a statement: ‘The Marana Police Department is currently on-scene at the Marana Regional Airport located at 11700 W. Avra Valley Rd. in reference to an aircraft collision.

‘There has been at least 1 confirmed deceased individual. Details are limited at this time.

‘Media staging will be in the large dirt parking lot outside of the Marana Regional Airport. FAA and NTSB will be responding.’

There have been four major aviation mishaps in North America in the past month.
