Bianca Bustamante reunites with F1 star Lewis Hamilton, meets celebrity crush

Filipino American racing star Bianca Bustamante just fulfilled two major dreams in one unforgettable weekend.

Bustamante recently attended a Formula 1 race weekend as a special guest. But what truly made the moment extraordinary was reuniting with someone she has looked up to since her teenage years – Lewis Hamilton. 

In an Instagram clip, the racer documented her interaction with the seven-time Formula 1 world champion,

“I can’t believe I was 17 when I first met Lewis,” she wrote, reflecting on how pivotal that encounter was. She noted that Hamilton “was the very first one to stand up for women in the sport,” adding that she often wonders where her journey would be if not for his example. 

Calling him “truly the greatest in the league,” Bustamante thanked Hamilton for making her and countless others realise that “wealth and gender play no role in chasing your dreams.”

Hamilton is a British Formula 1 driver who has become one of the sport’s most influential voices, both for his record-breaking achievements and for championing diversity, equality and inclusion on and off the track. Fans flooded Bustamante’s comment section, calling the moment “dreamy” and praising her for meeting the “GOAT.”

But the surprises didn’t stop there.

Bustamante also crossed paths with actor Paul Wesley, best known globally for “The Vampire Diaries,” whom she openly called her longtime crush. 

“AS A BIG TVD FAN I lowkey did not freaking expect to ever meet my celebrity crush in an F1 Paddock,” she admitted, saying she had memorized “every scene and monologue” from the series. She ended her caption with a playful declaration: “#TeamDelena tho AAAAAAA.”

Wrapping up her experience, the young racer posted a carousel of photos from the event, writing, “Wearing the prettiest dress I own in a paddock I once thought I could never belong. What a time in motorsports right now.” She described watching “one of the most exciting title fights of my generation,” calling the moment a powerful reminder of why she works relentlessly on and off the track.

“For now it was a pleasure being here to experience racing as a special guest,” she said, expressing gratitude for the opportunity and renewed motivation to continue pushing her career forward.
