Police hunting for the suspect in the murder of a woman who was shot dead outside a Kent pub on Valentine’s Day have recovered a body from the River Thames.
Lisa Smith, 43, from Slough, was killed near The Three Horseshoes pub in Knockholt just after 7pm on February 14.
Detectives named Edvard Stockings, or Smith, as the suspect and his car containing a gun was later traced to the Queen Elizabeth
He is believed to have entered the water there and was presumed dead.
Kent Police said in an update today: ‘At around 3.45pm on Friday, March 7, a body was located near Rainham, Essex.
‘Formal identification has not yet taken place.
‘However, the man’s family have been informed.’
Lisa’s son, Teejay Smith, paid tribute to his mother describing her as ‘the best’.
Writing on Facebook, he said: ‘My dear old mum never be another to walk in her shoes the best.’
Another relative who visited the scene to see the floral tributes said: ‘She was a beautiful lady and a wonderful mother. We don’t know what’s happened. Nobody does. It’s still a shock.’

‘You turned our salon into your own stage from the moment you walked through the doors in 2017 and made everyone laugh with your amazing personality.
‘You was one in a million.’
