Book returned to library 50 years overdue with £20 and apology note

A library book overdue for more than 50 years has finally been returned, along with a £20 note and an apology letter.
It’s believed the recipe book, Mrs Balbir Singh’s Indian Cookery, was loaned out from Paisley Central Library in 1968.
Unfortunately, there is no way of knowing who borrowed it because it was before…
