After becoming the first full Filipina girl group to perform at Coachella, BINI drew an outpouring of support from prominent figures within the Filipino American diaspora.
Among those who celebrated the moment was Fil-Am content creator Bretman Rock, who took to Instagram Stories to share his excitement while watching Filipino acts take over the festival.

The influencer joined the crowd in singing along to BINI’s hit “Salamin Salamin,” capturing the energy of the group’s debut performance.

In one of his posts, he playfully declared, “Binichella duhhh,” echoing the sentiment of many fans who have since coined the term to mark the group’s breakthrough moment.
Apl.de.Ap of the Black Eyed Peas also publicly praised the group, writing, “Congrats to BINI for taking the Coachella stage! Historic moment for P-Pop.”
Meanwhile, Carla Guevara Laforteza, the mother of Filipina singer Sophia Laforteza from global girl group KATSEYE, also expressed how proud she was of BINI.
She even added a lighthearted note addressed to the group: “Sorry po di nanaman ako nakasama sa gig natin na to,” blending humor with her admiration.

The Coachella moment extended beyond BINI, as KATSEYE also marked their debut at the festival.
Meanwhile, a circulating photo of Sophia alongside the BINI members quickly gained traction online after their meetup at the NYLON House after-party.
Riding the momentum of their Coachella appearances, BINI and KATSEYE have sparked a noticeable spike in global online interest, with more audiences tuning in to discover P-pop and Filipino talent.
BINI’s Coachella journey, however, is only just beginning. The group is set to return for the festival’s second weekend on April 17, before heading to the Grammy Museum on April 21 for the “Global Spin Live!” series.
