Global phenomenon BTS ushered in a new era with the launch of their “Arirang” world tour, opening with a three-night spectacle in Goyang, South Korea.

On April 9, 11 and 12, Goyang Stadium transformed into a sea of light as around 132,000 fans gathered across the three shows.

Beyond the stadium, the experience extended worldwide through simultaneous cinema broadcasts and online streaming via Weverse.

BTS leader Kim Namjoon spoke on behalf of the group, introducing what they described as a new chapter under “BTS 2.0.”

“We sincerely thank you for supporting us,” he began. ”We have shown you many changes under the name ‘BTS 2.0.’ But the most important thing has not changed: that the seven of us decided to do this together, as well as our sincere feelings toward you[…] We will never take for granted the fact that you filled this space.”

With visible emotion, the members bowed to the crowd and promised even more in the months ahead. “There are many stages we will show in the future. We will repay you as singers with diverse and wonderful appearances,” said the group.

As the “Arirang” tour moves forward, BTS is set to visit 34 cities across Asia, North America, Europe and South America.

Their next shows take place in Tokyo, Japan, on April 17 to 18. The tour will spotlight songs from their fifth studio album, “Arirang.”
