Global K-pop sensation BTS has set a new Spotify record after the music video for “Normal” became the platform’s most-streamed K-pop music video in a single day.

The accomplishment followed the music video’s exclusive debut on Spotify on July 17, where it remained exclusively available for its first 48 hours.

Directed by Ukrainian filmmaker Tanu Muiño, the music video trades elaborate spectacle for a more grounded narrative.

Rather than placing the members on a concert stage, it follows them through the aftermath of a night out, highlighting quieter, more personal moments that contrast with their public personas.

“It captures what life looks like for the artists when they’re finally out of the spotlight and taking a moment for themselves,” Spotify said in a press release.

“Normal” appears on BTS’ latest studio album, “Arirang,” which was released on March 20 and marked the group’s newest chapter after their military service.

The record arrives only days after BTS joined the lineup of the first-ever FIFA World Cup final halftime show, held at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey for the championship match between Argentina and Spain.

For the first time, FIFA expanded the halftime interval for the tournament’s title match to accommodate a large-scale musical production inspired by the Super Bowl Halftime Show.

BTS shared the stage with an international roster that included Madonna, Justin Bieber, Shakira, Burna Boy, Coldplay, conductor Gustavo Dudamel, The Muppets and the PS 22 Chorus.

Ahead of the event, fans questioned whether an 11-minute show could successfully showcase such a star-packed lineup.

The production ultimately answered those doubts with a tightly choreographed medley, allowing each performer to deliver a memorable moment despite the limited runtime.

BTS took the spotlight with a performance of their global smash hit “Dynamite.”
