“Bangtan is coming! BTS is coming!” These were the words BTS leader RM declared when the group welcomed the new year.
After months of anticipation and swirling rumors, BTS members are officially ready to step back into the spotlight. The global K-pop superstars have confirmed their long-awaited comeback on March 20, 2026.
The upcoming release will mark BTS’ first full-group comeback in three years and nine months, following their anthology album “Proof,” released in June 2022.
Brand-new album
The announcement also confirms that a brand-new album will arrive ahead of an extensive world tour, making 2026 a milestone year for the septet after completing their mandatory military service.
Speculation around a spring comeback had been building for months, especially after all seven members were officially discharged. Fans closely followed every hint, but the biggest clue came in the most personal way possible.
‘2026.03.20’
To welcome the New Year, BTS surprised long-time Weverse members by sending handwritten letters directly to their homes. Alongside messages thanking fans for standing by them over the years, the members subtly revealed the date “2026.03.20”
Reflecting on the past year and looking toward their return, the members expressed both hope and determination. They shared, “We hope to make a safe comeback this year and that the album does well. Let’s make BTS a huge success.”
Big Hit Music later reinforced the news by sharing an article written by entertainment journalist Moon Wan-sik across its platforms.
According to the report, BTS will be releasing an album featuring entirely new music for the first time in nearly four years.
