Camcopter S-100 helicopter drone makes the world’s first oil rig delivery – New Atlas

Aviation history was recently written off the coast of Norway when a Camcopter S-100 drone rotorcraft delivered a 3D printed part to an oil rig after a 100 km flight (55 nm, 62 mi) over the North Sea, potentially opening up to a safer, less expensive and less polluting service for these massive off-shore operations.
