Covid infections rise across England but R rate drops slightly
The R rate has dropped slightly compared to last week, despite cases rising
Covid cases have continued to rise in England with official data suggesting one in 65 people have the virus.
The latest ONS weekly infection survey estimated that 856,200 people in the community population had Covid-19 in the week up to July 24.
This is the highest level since January 30 and marks a big jump on the week…
