The digital rollout marks another milestone for the animated feature, which DreamWorks Animation has praised for bringing elements of Philippine mythology and folklore to a global audience through its signature storytelling.

At the heart of Forgotten Island are lifelong best friends Jo, voiced by Grammy-winning singer-songwriter H.E.R., and Raissa, voiced by Filipino actress Liza Soberano.

As the pair prepares to go their separate ways, they stumble upon a mysterious portal leading to Nakali, a magical island inhabited by mythical creatures inspired by Philippine legends.

Beyond its story, the film also assembled one of the most notable voice casts for an animated feature with Filipino representation. Alongside H.E.R. and Soberano, the cast includes Dave Franco, Manny Jacinto, Jo Koy and Lea Salonga, among others.
