European equities climb under French boost after new US records – Yahoo Finance UK
Major European stock markets were down at the close on Thursday as a record rally on Wall Street faltered, analysts noted.
In Paris, the CAC-40 index followed its peers in the red with a drop of 0.4% despite the support of the 100 billion euros ($ 120 billion) spending plan of the French government to support the economy.
Frankfurt gave up 1.4% and London lost 1.5% as traders ended the day.
