European markets close higher after choppy trading day – CNBC
European stocks ended the day in the green on Monday after a volatile start to the week, with geopolitical tensions and concerns over the spread of the coronavirus on investor radar.
The pan-European Stoxx 600 provisionally closed 0.4% higher, after trading around the flat line for most of the day. Basic resources rose about 1.6%, while travel and leisure values fell about 1.5%.
