Singer and entrepreneur Felson Palad, husband of actress-host Donita Rose, recently reached the regional finals of “Tawag ng Tanghalan,“ marking what he described as a long-awaited and deeply personal milestone.
Palad reflected on his journey on the popular “It’s Showtime” segment. “I want to express my deepest gratitude and heartfelt appreciation to all our followers, friends, and family who supported me throughout my journey. It was a dream come true,” he wrote.
For the US-based performer, joining the competition was years in the making. “For ten years, I had envisioned participating in this competition—not just to win, but to perform,” he revealed, emphasizing that stepping onto the TNT stage was about fulfillment rather than trophies.

Palad also opened up about the emotional weight of the experience. “As I shared in my first interview with Vice Ganda, this was a therapeutic experience for me. Reminiscent of my childhood when I joined singing contests with my mom,” he said.
He also addressed viewers who may question the value of competing without being laser-focused on victory. “Some may wonder why I participated without a strong aim to win. The truth is, whether I win or lose, singing is my true language of love and an eternal gift.”
He ended his message with a note of devotion and love, “To God, then my wife, [Donita].”
Among those who responded was TNT judge Sofronio Vasquez, who commented, “Appreciate you both. Hope to work with you soon.” Veteran singer-songwriter and TNT judge Ogie Alcasid also reacted with praise emojis.
Palad has been actively performing across the US, steadily carving out his space in the Filipino music community abroad. His efforts have earned recognition, including a nomination at the 37th edition of the Aliw Awards under the “Best Filipino Artist Based Abroad” (Male) category.
