While “The Pitt” continued its dominance in the drama category, another series emerged as the night’s biggest winner.
Apple TV+’s comedy-horror hit, “Widow’s Bay,” made Emmy history after collecting 14 awards, establishing a new record for the most Emmy wins by a comedy series in a single year. The achievement surpassed the previous mark set just a year ago by Seth Rogen’s Hollywood satire “The Studio,” which was also produced by Apple.
Several cast members of “Widow’s Bay” were recognized with acting honors, including Rhys, Kate O’Flynn and Stephen Root.
