Filipino Australian singer-songwriter grentperez is bringing fans deeper into his world with the release of a brand-new documentary chronicling his North American tour.
The project, centered on his debut album “Backflips in a Restaurant,” offers a glimpse of the rising star’s journey across the US and Canada while capturing the energy of his live performances and behind-the-scenes moments.
On Instagram, grent teased the release with a short video clip, writing: “north america tour documentary is out tomorrow for everyone to see !!! ☆ thank you again for everyone that came to the screening on saturday.”

He previously hosted the premiere at the Commonhouse Studio, sharing his excitement that “things are finally clicking into place” and looking ahead to what the future holds.
The documentary also reflects grent’s evolving outlook on himself and his artistry.
“I don’t usually like thinking about, you know, talking to myself in the past cause I want that person learn and stuff along the way,” he admitted, before adding a message of self-assurance: “you got it. You can do way more than what you’re practicing.”

The tour film coincides with grent’s debut album, “Backflips in a Restaurant,” which first dropped on March 28 this year. A deluxe version followed on July 25, featuring three additional tracks.
The album’s playful yet thought-provoking title came from the idea that a restaurant, a seemingly absurd place to attempt a backflip, mirrors the chaotic mix of sounds and stories within the record. To bring this vision to life visually, grent even painted a mural tied to the album’s artwork and visualizer, which he promised to share in a future post.
“Thank you to everyone who helped out ;-; I LOVE YOU!!!!” he added, expressing gratitude to fans and collaborators who supported the project.
With this documentary, grentperez continues to bridge the intimacy of his songwriting with the raw energy of his live journey, proving that even in the most unexpected places, like a restaurant, backflips (and dreams) can happen.
