US-based Filipino Australian singer-songwriter Ylona Garcia is officially ushering in a fresh musical chapter as she releases two new introspective tracks.

The new singles, “Question Mark” and “Could’ve Been,” are her first releases since her soft rock track “Sick of It,” which dropped nearly a year ago in 2025.

In an Instagram post, the artist paid tribute to the creatives who influenced her current musical direction.

“Shoutout to @oliviaroseolson + @imogenheap for inspiring how I shape my music,” she wrote, before acknowledging collaborators and mentors who continue to motivate her artistry.

Produced by Austin Gold and Ben Torres, the two-track release offers contrasting yet complementary emotional landscapes.

“Question Mark,” which Garcia penned herself, examines strained romantic relationships. Beyond traditional love themes, the song can also be interpreted as a reflection on parasocial relationships between artists and fans, touching on projection that often blurs the lines between admiration and expectation.

“Could’ve Been” leans into quieter introspection. Written with self-described overthinkers in mind, the song explores the emotional weight of “what if” moments, those imagined paths and unresolved possibilities that linger long after opportunities pass.
