Filipino Canadian artist Mico closes out 2025 with a more personal exhale—his final song of the year, marking the end of his beloved “Internet Hometown Hero” era.
Days before his birthday, he surprised fans with the launch of “Without Me,” a track he described online as both a farewell and a promise of what lies ahead.
In an Instagram post, Mico announced, “‘Without Me’ is yours now… last song of 2025 and the last song of the IHH era. Excited to celebrate the end of an important chapter + the start of something new with you all very soon <3.”

The final release caps off a whirlwind year for the breakout artist, who has steadily transformed from a social media favorite into a global touring act. This past October, he also celebrated the first anniversary of his breakthrough project, “Internet Hometown Hero.”
In a reflective message, Mico wrote, “‘Internet hometown hero’ turns 1 today,” expressing how the record reshaped his life. He added that he was grateful for the friends he made and the ones he grew closer with throughout its creation.
He looked back on the project as a true labor of love, one crafted with no expectations of how far it would reach or how deeply it would connect with fans. Yet its impact has been undeniable, fueling a dedicated community that carried him through multiple releases and, eventually, onto international stages.
