A block of flats is on fire, with the entire roof engulfed in flames, in north London.
As many as 10 engines and 70 personnel were deployed to Maybury Close in Enfield in the early hours of this morning to battle the flames.
The alarm was first sounded at 5.19am, with brigades from seven stations scrambled to the scene.
The London Fire Brigade (LFB) confirmed that the roof is alight and so is most of the second floor of the three-storey building.
Three people were treated by paramedics and rushed to hospital, but their condition has not been confirmed.
Pictures show flames raging from the top of the building, which has been mostly destroyed.
Plumes of grey smoke are seen rising in the sky as firefighters continue to pump water into the heart of the blaze.
It is not clear if all residents of the block of flats have been evacuated, or if anyone has been trapped inside.
A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service said: ‘We were called at 5.22am this morning to reports of a fire in Maybury Close, Enfield.
‘We sent ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response car, an incident response officer and our Hazardous Area Response Team to the scene.
‘We treated three patients and took them to hospital.
‘We remain at the scene alongside colleagues from London Fire Brigade.’
