Fire rips through row of social housing where residents had raised concerns

A number of homes have been destroyed and many more evacuated after a ‘large scale’ fire tore through a Reading suburb, police say.
The blaze broke out shortly at a property before midnight on Thursday and had spread to a neighbouring house by the time emergency services arrived.
