The event will also feature “Sira,” a drama short about a survivor of domestic violence, written by Angelica Yulo-Batin Quinn.
For Quinn, the subject matter is personal.
“I was a domestic violence survivor as a child,” she shares. “My father had been critically ill and hospitalized. He was a quiet man who hid his illness, and I only learned how sick he was in that hospital room.”
She asks the difficult question, “Can I forgive him to help care for him?”
