This pile of waste measuring more than 500ft long could be Britain’s biggest ever fly-tip.
The massive heap of hazardous rubbish is around 20ft deep, and was illegally dumped in a field next to the A34 and River Cherwell near Kidlington in Oxfordshire.

Calum Miller, Liberal Democrat MP for Bicester and Woodstock, raised the issue in Parliament.
Addressing MPs on Thursday, he said: ‘Criminals have dumped a mountain of illegal plastic waste… weighing hundreds of tons, in my constituency on a floodplain adjacent to the River Cherwell.

Flytipping has become a bigger issue in recent years.
Council officers had to investigate after earlier this year, fly-tippers dumped 30 tons of waste on a country road, cutting off residents from the outside world.
The building waste, which also included household rubbish, was fly-tipped in Watery Lane, near Curborough, in January – completely cutting off homes and local businesses.
