Funding secured to trial emissions reduction tech on diesel train
A firm has secured six-figure funding to trial pioneering emissions reduction technology on a diesel train operated by a Midlands rail operator.
Train leasing company Porterbook, in Derby, has received £400,000 from Innovate UK, backed by the Department for Transport, to fit Eminox SCRT technology to a Class 170 Turbostar train it leases to East Midlands Railway (EMR).
