A 12-year-old girl has been charged with manslaughter after pensioner Bhim Kohli was found injured in a park, before later dying of his injuries.
The grandad, 80, was seriously assaulted as he walked his dog in Franklin Park, Braunstone Town, Leicestershire, on September 2.
An inquest into his death opened at Leicester Coroner’s Court last month.
Five children – three aged 12, the others 14 – were previously arrested on suspicion of his murder.
A 15-year-old boy will go to court, charged with his murder, later this week.
Neighbours described him as a sweet-tempered family man who tended to his allotments, often with his dog Rocky by his side.
The inquest into his death, which was suspended until the ongoing criminal proceedings are finished, heard that a provisional cause of death for the grandad was ‘serious neck injuries’.
