Girl sexually assaulted while sitting on bus heading towards Birmingham Airport

A teenage girl was sexually assaulted while sitting on a bus in Birmingham.

The youngster was heading from the city center to the airport when the attacked happened on June 5.

West Midlands Police have released CCTV stills of a man they wish to speak with in connection with the assault.

Detectives have so far been unable to identify him.

Elsewhere, colleagues in the British Transport Police investigating several linked sexual assaults on the railways in London have appealed for witnesses to come forward.

The first incident happened at around 4.40pm on Friday September 5 on a Bakerloo line train at Harlesden Underground station.

A woman was on the train when she was sexually assaulted by a 17-year-old boy.

Soon afterwards he sexually assaulted two more women on a Thameslink train and the platform at Blackfriars railway station.

He then attacked another woman on a Thameslink train towards St Pancras railway station at around 6.40pm and then another woman at West Hampstead Thameslink station at around 7pm.

Officers have made an arrest and further enquiries are ongoing.

They have urged anyone who witnessed these incidents – or who may possibly have been a victim themselves – to come forward.
