Gold prices extended their losses on Monday, after their worst week in five months, amid persistent risk appetite, as Sino-US trade relations hinted at potential improvement.
Spot gold was down 0.5% to $ 1,934.91 an ounce at 0036 GMT. Gold fell 4.5% last week, its biggest weekly drop since March.
US gold futures fell 0.3% to $ 1,943.50 an ounce.
