Gov. Newsom proposes ban on new oil facilities within 3,200 feet of homes, hospitals

Any new oil wells and facilities in California will have to be at least 3,200 feet from homes, schools, hospitals and nursing homes, under new proposed regulations Gov. Gavin Newsom announced Thursday morning, Oct. 21.
