A binman who wore a hi vis kilt in protest against having to wear trousers during the heatwave has been allowed to trial a pair of shorts.
Lee Moran, 51, was ordered by York City Council in July to cover his legs despite temperatures reaching 38°C.
In response, he wore a £60 fluorescent kilt ordered specially from a supplier…
