Home price gains to subside in 2022, Realtors forecast
California’s white-hot housing market will cool in 2022, with price gains moderating and sales declining as buyers struggle to find affordable homes, the California Association of Realtors forecast Thursday, Oct. 7.
The 2022 median price of a California house, or the price at the midpoint of all sales, will be $834,400, up a mere 5.2% from this year’s projected median of $793,100.
