Huge rise in number of people on unemployment benefit in Wales
The number of people claiming unemployment benefit in Wales soared during the first full month of the coronavirus lockdown.
New figures from the Office for National Statistics have revealed that 104,305 people were claiming unemployment benefit this April.
It means that an extra 44,040 people were added to the system in a single month.
