Walking down Humber Street today, it is difficult to imagine a time when fruit and vegetable merchants dominated the landscape.

In fact, despite its relatively recent transformation, it is growing increasingly hard to remember a time when the street was not filled with cocktail bars, restaurants and boutique retailers.
