Inflation shows slight fall from 10.1% ‘but it’s too early to celebrate’

Latest inflation figures show that there has been a slight fall from the 40-year-record high seen in July.
Experts were surprised to see the Consumer Prices Index inflation reached 9.9% in the year to August, down from 10.1% the previous month, as they had expected the figure to be unchanged between the two months.
