Filipino actor Jericho Rosales is set to bring a defining moment in Philippine history to the global stage with “Quezon,” a highly anticipated biopic by acclaimed filmmaker Jerrold Tarog.
The film, produced by TBA Studios, chronicles the rise of Manuel L. Quezon, the first president of the Philippine Commonwealth and his pivotal role during the twilight of American colonial rule.
TBA Studios announced the film’s worldwide rollout through a social media post that excited fans across continents.

“WORLDWIDE SCREENINGS FOR QUEZON! Kabayans! we are proud to announce that Quezon goes international,” the post reads. “Starting October 30, Quezon will be available internationally, now reaching every Filipino heart across the globe. Para sa Independencia!”
The film premiered in the Philippines on Oct. 15, with Australia and New Zealand following on Oct. 30.
The US, Canada and Guam will see screenings on Oct. 31, while audiences in the Middle East can expect to catch the film on Nov. 20.
In an impressive global strategy, ABS-CBN International has secured exclusive theatrical distribution rights for key territories after TBA Studios received strong interest from multiple international distributors.
“Quezon” features Rosales in one of his most transformative performances to date, alongside Iain Glen, best known for his work in Game of Thrones, who portrays Governor-General Leonard Wood.
The film captures Quezon’s calculated path to the presidency and his political clashes with Wood, Sergio Osmeña and Emilio Aguinaldo, portraying the tension and ambition that shaped a new era of Filipino independence.
