Former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s estranged wife Sophie Grégoire has opened up about life after her separation from Trudeau and the buzz about his romance with Perry.
Appearing on the “Arlene Is Alone” podcast, Sophie spoke about the pressures that come with being linked to one of the world’s most recognizable political figures.
She acknowledged that life updates being in the public eye comes with unavoidable emotional weight.“We’re human beings and stuff affects us,” she told host Arlene Dickinson, who said she admires how Sophie remains “cool” about all the publicity.
For her, the challenge lies not in escaping the noise but in choosing how to respond to it.

“How you react to stuff is your decision,” she said. “So I choose to try to listen to the music instead of the noise.” To her, that mantra is a strategy for survival in a world where personal matters are endlessly dissected.
She also noted that it’s “normal” for public attention to be triggering. She emphasizes that she is “very aware that a lot of public stuff out there can be triggers. We’re humans.”
