After her months-long break to prioritize her mental health, Katseye leader and Filipino member Sophia Laforteza is expected to return to group activities in the first week of January 2027.
HYBE and Geffen Records confirmed the timeline for the Filipino singer’s return. Until then, Sophia will remain on hiatus for the rest of 2026.
Her break means she will miss the remaining dates of Katseye’s North American leg of The Wildworld Tour, as well as the group’s end-of-year promotional activities.
The announcement provides a projected return date while allowing Sophia additional time away from the spotlight.
Her temporary departure from group activities began in August 2026, following an earlier absence from the tour’s European and United Kingdom leg.
Despite the extended break, the announced timeline offers a potential reunion point for Sophia and the other Katseye members as they prepare for their 2027 activities.
Meanwhile, their documentary film “Katseye: Wild Hearts” will premiere on Disney+ on Oct. 16.
