King Charles has greeted Liz Truss at Buckingham Palace as part of a long string of meetings with leaders from countries in which he is head of state.
The monarch was pictured shaking hands with his prime minister in the lavish 1844 room, used to host the royals’ most distinguished guests, at 12.15pm on Sunday.
