LOS ANGELES – Lea Salonga has weighed in on which BTS members Disney princesses would choose as their biases – and one member stands out above the rest.
The Tony Award-winning Filipina Broadway star, who provided the singing voices of Princess Jasmine in “Aladdin” and the title character in “Mulan,” said she believes Jin would be the pick for Disney princesses in general because of his own affection for Disney.

But when it comes to Mulan, Salonga had a different BTS member in mind: RM, also known as Namjoon.
Salonga pointed to the BTS leader’s intelligence and sense of security as qualities that she believes would appeal to the courageous Disney heroine.

The Broadway and Disney legend shared her picks during an appearance on K-ALL, where she spoke about both her career and her love for the seven-member South Korean supergroup.
Salonga, herself a member of BTS’ ARMY fandom, also discussed the members’ musical talents, including the vocals of V and Jungkook, J-Hope’s abilities as the group’s dance leader and Suga’s work as Agust D.

She also talked about RM’s 2024 solo album, “Right Place, Wrong Person,” and recalled seeing BTS perform live in Busan.
Salonga has long been open about her admiration for BTS. In the K-ALL interview, she offered her perspective as a singer on the group’s vocalists and what makes the members distinctive as performers.
The Broadway star reflected on making history as the first Filipina to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and career milestones, including playing Kim in “Miss Saigon,” performing in “Les Misérables” and serving as the singing voice of Disney princesses Jasmine and Mulan.
