Liverpool firm wins £9m MoD contract to build boats to patrol Gibraltar shores
A Liverpool company has been awarded a £9m contract to build two new boats for the Ministry of Defence (MoD).
The six-year contract will see Brunswick-based Marine Specialised Technology build two new vessels to replace the Gibraltar Squadron Fast Patrol Craft.
According to the MOD, the six-year contract will support 30 jobs and create a further 25, with construction beginning this month.
