Filipino American actress and global talent Liza Soberano stepped onto the international stage as a presenter at the 2026 Annie Awards.
The 53rd edition of the ceremony took place at Royce Hall in Los Angeles, gathering some of the most celebrated names in global animation.
Soberano presented several major categories during the awards night. Moreover, she shared presenter duties with “Forgotten Island” directors Joel Crawford and Fil-Am Januel Mercado.

On Instagram, Soberano expressed her excitement about the experience, writing:

The Annie Awards are widely regarded as the highest honor in the field of animation. Organized annually by the International Animated Film Society, the event has long been considered the animation industry’s equivalent to the Oscars.
During the ceremony, Soberano also posed with Best Direction winners Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans for “KPop Demon Hunters,” as shared on the Annie Awards’ official page.
Set for release on Sept. 25, ”Forgotten Island” features a star-studded Fil-Am cast including Liza Soberano, Lea Salonga, H.E.R. and Manny Jacinto.
