Drivers have been caught in delays on the M25 in Kent after a crash on the UK’s busiest motorway.
Weekend traffic was ground to a halt on the M25 today after a collision involving a lorry, which has closed lanes clockwise.
The incident happened clockwise between junction J5 Sevenoaks and J6 Godstone this morning.
There are delays of 56 minutes with four miles of congestion back towards J4, National Highways warned.
Lanes one and two out of four remain closed at this time, and the emergency services are attending.

Kent Police said it was alerted to a single vehicle crash at the location at about 7.13am.
No injuries were reported, the force said.
Delays have spilt onto the M26, with congestion snarling back on the westbound carriageway towards junction 2A and the M20.
National Highways said: ‘Lanes 1 & 2 (of 4) remain closed on the M25 clockwise between J5 & J6 after a HGV collided with the nearside barrier/fence. Recovery work is progressing.’
The M20 was briefly closed eastbound in Kent between J10A Sevington and J11 Hythe due to another collision at about 12.30pm.
It has since reopened after the vehicles were moved to the hard shoulder to wait recovery, National Highways said.
