A man has been charged with the murder of a ‘lovely GP’ who had been hosting a children’s party at her farmhouse near Sandringham Estate.

Mark Cain, 45, was arrested after Hannah Cain’s body was discovered in the £800,000 property in Fern Hill, Dersingham early hours of Sunday.

Paramedics rushed to her home finding her dying of critical injuries. Ambulance then called police to the scene where she was pronounced dead at around 2.30am.

A post-mortem examination took place yesterday but her cause of death has not been established.

Mark Cain, of Fern Hill, Dersingham was charged with Hannah’s murder on Tuesday.

He has been remanded in custody to appear before Norwich Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.

The mother-of-three was also known as Dr Hannah Terry at her GP practice.

Dr Terry’s practice was closed on Monday. They posted a message: ‘We are sorry to let patients know that Grimston Medical center, including the dispensary, is temporarily closed due to extremely difficult circumstances affecting our practice team.

‘We apologize for the disruption and appreciate your patience and understanding at what is a very difficult time for our colleagues.’

Dr Terry, a qualified doctor of 15 years, also had a business called Norfolk Sky Aesthetics, where she carried out beauty procedures.

She said in her profile: ‘I am proud to be a caring and professional doctor with a keen interest in aesthetics.’

neighbors told the Fakenham Times of their shock at the death.

She said: ‘She was just a lovely human being with three gorgeous young children.

‘Something’s obviously gone very badly wrong. I’m just out of words, we all are.’

A neighbor in his 90s, who lives next door, said: ‘I didn’t know anything until the police came.

‘I very rarely saw them, the children were lovely, two boys and a younger girl.

‘They used to kick their football into my garden and I’d throw it back to them, or they’d come and ask me if they could come in and look for it.’
