A man who disappeared five years ago has turned up at a police station in Bradford – days after multiple arrests were made over his alleged murder.
Ismail Ali was last seen leaving work at Gulam Food Stores, in Cumberland Road, on May 29, 2020.
It was thought that West Yorkshire Police had finally cracked this missing persons case when officers arrested five people on suspicion for the man’s murder.
Police raided a number of homes on Beckside Road and Cumberland Road, and detained three women aged 47, 54 and 55, and two men, aged 27 and 51, on Monday.
Det Insp Tom Hilyer announced afterwards: ‘After extensive enquiries we now suspect that Ismail Ali is no longer alive, and we suspect that he may have been murdered.’
